Theme parks have a heightened duty to ensure the safety of the children at the parks. This includes fences, barriers, security, safe rides, operations guidelines, supervision and employee screening.

Water parks are particularly dangerous. Not only do these facilities present water safety issues, but sexual predators can be drawn to places where children congregate in bathing suits. It is the responsibility of the theme park to monitor these parks with security cameras, personnel and procedures to catch the predator, especially if the theme park knows of prior incidents involving sexual acts or crimes involving minors on its premises.

Don't allow your children to attend these parks or rides without your presence. Remember, if children are present, so are sexual predators.
